Tiger!

Hi my name is Tiger and I was found wandering. It seems that someone just wanted my babies and had no interest in keeping me. The really nice person that rescued me is making sure I stay current on my shots and paid for my spay. I love people, but I do not like other dogs my size or larger. I do get along with Chihuahuas though. But my foster mother would prefer I am in a home without other dogs! I will protect your family and adore your children and might mother them a little. Please contact my foster family at 817-483-2026 so I can go home with you!

Izzy and George- ADOPTED!

Their current owner is looking for a home for her two indoor cats.  With a growing family, 2 adults 2 babies and 2 cats is just too much for them. George is the male cat, he is 3 neutered and declawed and very loving he loves to snuggle!  Izzabella is also spayed and declawed and a very sweet cat she too likes to snuggle but just not like George. Izzy is 3 almost 4 and minds her own business most of the time. Both love to sleep and are wonderful house cats. Both are current on shots and of course kitty litter trained being indoor cats. She is sad to let them go, knows its best for them. They need a home where they can be loved and can be lazy! Please contact Nikki at jnikkirodriguez@aol.com and my phone number is 903.220.9288 please leave a message.

Basenji Mix Looking for a Home

This sweet pup's owner could no longer care for her. Fortunately, a  sweet family decided to foster to keep the owner from taking her to the pound. She is likely a Basenji mix, about 1 year old, 20-25 lbs, and in good health. This pup is Heartworm negative, fully vetted and spayed. This dog is sweet, well mannered, playful and cuddly. She gets along well with kids and other dogs but not cats. Please contact Lacy or Penny Ball at lacy.ball@gmail.com for more information on her.

Lannie and Jewels- Owner Moving and Dogs Need a New Home!

The owners are moving into an apartment this weekend and they cannot take their dogs with them. Lannie is a 3 ½ year old black Lab mix. She is spayed, up to date on shots, house broken and kennel trained. She is an inside dog that is very friendly and is great with kids. She plays tug of war, catch & fetch and hide and seek. She is extremely outgoing and lots of fun to take in the back yard with and throw a ball or wrestle with. Jewels is a 4 ½ year old Boston terrier/rat terrier mix. She is spayed, up to date on shots, house broken and kennel trained. She is an inside dog that is very friendly and is great with kids. She plays tug of war, catch & fetch and hide and seek. She is more the princess type though. She likes to play but her favorite time is when you sit on the couch with her under a blanket. If you are interested or know someone who may be please contact Wendy at 972-742-7412.

Sweet Emma- ADOPTED!

It is time for you to meet Emma.  Many of you know her story already.  This was the young pregnant momma dog who had been tied to a pole when her "owners" moved out of their trailer home.  She had been left to fend for herself while very pregnant-in the freezing cold of November-without food or water! It is illegal to "chain" your dog in Dallas.  However, no one seems to know who the owner was or where he went. This makes if very difficult to prosecute the perpetrator since he cannot be found.

A very nice man who lives in the in the trailer park, Emma's Guardian Angel, took her off the chain and started feeing her. Soon, she delivered 7 puppies in an old torn up couch cushion on the front porch of the home where she had been abandoned- in the bitter cold.  Her Guardian Angel brought the new family to his yard where he provided Emma and her puppies with food and shelter until he called on us to help save them all.  The day we received the call to help with Emma, the temperature that night was expected to be below freezing.  So we went out and scooped everyone up and as of this date, all of her puppies have been adopted.

Emma has been living in a VERY LOVING foster home where she now has a mom and dad and two teenage humans too play with as well as two adult labs! Her foster mom reports that Emma is doing GREAT and has fit right in.  Because Emma is doing so well, it is now time for her to find a forever home of her own.

Emma is a one year old black with white lab/sharpei mix.  She is a medium size dog weighing in at 40 pounds.  She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also heart worm negative. She is house trained and crate trained (although her foster mom reports she really does not need a crate).  She is a very happy waggy dog.  We expect her to do well in a home where someone is home more than not and where there is another dog for her to play with.

If you are interested in Emma, please call Elise at 214.908.0074 or email info@takemehomepetrescue.com so we can coordinate a visit!

White Rock Lake Pups- ADOPTED!

These two pups were found Nov 30th with no collar and running around on a busy
intersection!  They are sooo sweet, small and cute…but we really cannot keep
them. Their rescuers have 2 big dogs already and cannot afford to take care of them anymore. They have to great lengths to find the original owners with no luck and neither dog is microhcipped. Unfortunately, the rescuers are soon leaving town and will need to take these guys to the shelter if we cannot help them find a foster parent. Both dogs would make a wonderful addition to any family. Details on each dog below.
Hi, my caretaker calls me little-man  because I am a stout weenie mix.  I’m a little larger than a weenie because my legs are a little longer and stockier, but still I’m only about 15 lbs.  I’m a pretty caramel color with a white chest and sweet dark puppy eyes.  my hair is short and doesn't seem to shed too much.  I can stand on my hind legs and stand pretty for a treat!  I love to be held and/or sleep near my caretakers.  I would love to go to a home where my girlfriend can come too, but I' m happy to go anywhere I will find love!

My girlfriend is hot, she seems to be a bit more exotic than I. She is kind of like a super model... taller than I, and skinny with beautiful marks, similar to that of a Sheltie but with short hair.  I love to nuzzle my nose in her soft, soft hair, in fact we sleep together in a little basket most of the time.  She has these remarkable hazel eyes that just make me melt!  anyway as you can see we are kind of attached to each other, but I am hopeful we will end up where we are supposed to be.

So if you can find room in your heart and in your home for either of us, please contact my caretaker, Shantell Travis - 405-326-3077 or email at shantellt77@gmail.com.

Mee Mee and Scooter Need a New Home

Unfortunately the owner of these two beautiful dog recently past away. He was living with his elderly mother in wheelchair and she cannot take care of them. They don't want to split them up. They want both of them to go to a good home. One female and one male. Their names are "Mee Mee" and "Scooter". The blue eyed one is the female, she is actually wolf...she does not bark, she howls.. The male is registered with papers. Both of them are very calm and very friendly with people. They don't bark at people when people walk up...they are very friendly. When I took these pictures yesterday, I just told them to "Sit"...and they just sat down next to one another for me to take these pictures. They are use to being indoors, except to go outside and go to the bathroom. Although, they would probably enjoy running around in a back yard. In fact, my best friend's cousins just put this pen up last week so that his mom could put them in there while she was at the hospital. Whoever takes the two can have the pen as well if they want it too. For more information call: Terri or James Jones in the evenings after 6:00 p.m. at (817) 459-0100.
