Owner of 3 Dogs Losing Home

These three dogs need our help to pull them out of a desperate situation. Their owner, Tery, does not have the utilities or food to feed her pets. Her husband is in jail and she is currently being foreclosed on. She must be out of her house by Dec. 26th. Thanks to a kind neighbor the dogs are being fed and given water. She has also taken these pictures to help spread the word about their situation.

The owner lives in Irving very close to the S MacArthur Blvd/W Shady Grove Rd intersection. She is living in a little RV that is parked in her drive way, I guess because there are not utilities to the house.

Neighbors also found two feral cats on the property, one adult and one very young. The kitten was taken home to care for, but the mother was not willing to interact with them.

Details on the three dogs:

One very very overweight German Sheppard mix, female, 15 years old. Then there are two black lab mixes One of them Maddy has "skin allergies" and the other one's name is Lucy, both are about 7 years old. It appears to me they have some missing teeth, they are not current on shots/heartworm treatment, and are not spayed.

Please, please please if you can help this lady either fostering or adopting any of her dogs please give her a call. Contact Tery at 972-955-0424.

Charlie & Jack Need a Home- ADOPTED!

Charlie & Jack have found their forever home! Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word.

These adorable male golden retrievers desperately need a home. They have been with friends of mine who regretfully admit they should not have taken them on with the busy/hectic schedule of their family. As of the last week, the dogs have been in their kennels in the back yard (as shown in the picture) because the fence is broken and they were getting out. This is NO way for these babies to live.
The cutie on the left is Charlie, he’s almost 3. The other is Jack and he is not quite a year. Neither are neutered. I dog sat for Charlie when he was about 6 months old. He was super sweet, but VERY active. Based on the lack of time the family has spent with the boys, I would assume they need a lot of love and training. I think they may have papers on the dogs, they are reportedly full breed.
Please feel free to pass this on to anyone who may be interested. The owner’s information is below in case someone is interested and wants to contact him directly:
Albert Evans
albertevans2010@gmail.com
While it would be ideal for these dogs to be adopted together, at this point they need good homes so urgently, they can be split up.

WHINNER - Star# 1 - A# 649462 DSH M/N Brn Tabby – 8 mo. – “I don't have a clue why they named me that - I rarely make a mewl. I have a lovely high-contrast bull’s eye swirl and am quite the handsome guy. I'm full of love. I love to gaze into your eyes over a candlelight dinner. Salmon, of course.”
TAUTIE - Star# 2 - A# 649907 DSH F/S Torbie – 4.5 mo. – “I'm a beautiful dusty grey gal who is very loving, devoted, and loyal. I love to talk to you with "silent" meows and I'm a leg rubber. In fact, your ankles are sure to stay warm this winter with me around.”
NICOLE - Star# 3 - A# 648176 DSH F/S Brn Tabby – “I'm a pretty girl who looks a lot like a bobcat kitten. I have a beautiful stripe/spot pattern to my fur, which is extra soft and smooth.  I love to play with other cat friends. I won't win any cuddling contests but I will always be nearby with a wink and a nod.”
SANDRA - CA# 3 - A# 650313 DSH F/S Blk/Wht – 1 yr. – “I have the prettiest gold eyes and the sweetest voice. I'm a little frightened by being in the strange place/shelter so please won't someone come get me?”
AXEL - CA# 13 - A# 649469 DSH M/N Blk – 6 mo. – “I have the best rumble purr and will gladly play it for you while you scratch my neck. I love to curl up in your arms and give Eskimo kisses. I’m a super sweet lover boy. I am missing a claw so one less nail to keep trimmed!”
WILHELMINA - CA# 7 - A# 650288 DSH F/S Gry Tabby – 1 yr – “I'm a super sweet blue tabby gal who will let you love and pet on me for hours! I've had trouble getting considered by people because I look a bit shy in my cage, but don't let that first impression fool you - I'm as sweet and wonderful as they come!”
SASSY - CA# 21 - A# 650560 DSH F/S Blk – 6 mo. – “My sister Sassafras and I are full of sass! We lived together before coming to DAS and would love to keep each other company while you're at work. Sassy is the smallest and a bit more cuddly. Both of us love kids and are not at all frightened by pattering little kid feet.”

SASSAFRAS - CA# 21 - A# 650561 DSH F/S Blk – 6 mo. – “My sister Sassy and I are full of sass! We lived together before coming to DAS and would love to keep each other company while you're at work. I’m smaller and a bit more cuddly. Both of us love kids and are not at all frightened by pattering little kid feet.”
RUGBY - CA# 29 - A# 650389 DMH M/N Blk/Wht – 2 yr. – “I'm appropriately named because I'm built like a stout Rugby player. I've had a difficult time getting adopted because I've got to run off a lot of steam before I'm ready to settle down. I'm not much of a cuddler but I'd sleep at the foot of your bed and keep your toes warm. I get along great with other cats of all ages and might even be able to handle dogs.”
JOY - CA# 45 - A# 650547 DSH F/S Blue Tabby – 1.5 yr. – “I'm a beautiful blue tabby with striking bright green eyes. I have a loud purr and turn the volume up the instant you touch me. I'd promise hours of lap time!”
LEEZA - CA# 47 - A# 649845 DSH F/S Blk – 1 yr. – “I'm a black beauty from head to toe - even my nails are black! I'm a quiet gal who prefers a low key home and strong bonding with just a few people.”
KIMMY - CA# 51 - A# 649846 DSH F/S Blue/Wht – “I'm a lovely blue and white gal with a rare blue nose to match! I'm curious but cautious; a bit shy in new places but I'll warm up quickly once settled in my new home. I'd love to keep your lap warm while you knit or watch TV.”

Chocolate Lab Out of Time at Garland Shelter

This sweet girl needs our help. She has been at the Garland Shelter since 11/9/10 and her time is up. Not long to give her family to find her, but I obviously don't make the rules at shelters. Please take the time to visit her if you are considering fostering or pass along her information to those that can help spread the word. Word is that she is pretty scared right now and takes a bit to warm up, possibly 2-3 years old.

Rescue groups can pull with NO FEE. Adoption fee is $80 and that includes getting her spayed. Shelter info below.

PLEASE, help if you can, and forward to spread the word! Fostering is a great way to help save these animal's lives, but if you cannot open your home to another animal, please forward their information. Every little bit helps, remember the starfish story!

“One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.
Approaching the boy, he asked, ‘What are you doing?’
The youth replied, ‘Throwing starfish back into the ocean.
The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.’
‘ Son,’ the man said, ‘don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can’t make a difference!’
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf.
Then, smiling at the man, he said…‘I made a difference for that one.’"
