Bonnie: Sweet 7 mo Smooth Collie at DAS A846624

Bonnie is at Dallas Animal Services, her number is A846624, she is a Collie Smooth and she is 7 months old. She is an adoption return, the reason for her return was because she was being a little bullied buy their other dogs. She is in adoption but she is not doing to good in adoption kennels. She can be barky but it’s all for attention. She is sweet and submissive and the barking stops as soon as she gets some attention. Bonnie needs to be given another chance to be placed in a home. She is heartworm negative, microchipped, spayed and vaccinated.

Contact DASrescue@dallascityhall.com for more information on Bonnie.

Teddy: 12yr old Malti Poo needs home/foster

Please contact Alexis Cole alexis293c@yahoo.com

Teddy a 12 yr old malti poo in need of permanent home and/or foster till a forever home can be found for him.

He was rescued from a family that had him since a puppy and was going to put him down because they were too busy for him and traveled a lot and he really needs to be with his people, and the foster parent cannot keep much longer.

He just turned 12yr old, never neutered. He is UTD on Vx, and on monthly heartworm preventative. Other than missing some teeth, he is in good health. He is house trained, good on harness/leash, he doesn't get into anything- the foster leaves him free in my apartment and he just curls up on chair or bed. very friendly-good with kids, and other dogs even big dogs.

He does have some separation anxiety esp. left for longer periods of time and he will display that by barking, licking alot. Otherwise he is very sweet, cuddly, and still has lots energy.

He probably needs home with other pets, or someone who has calmer schedule someone that can be around more to give him attention he needs and deserves. He is so very precious. I have attached some pics. I recently had him groomed so some are how I got him and some are from his recent cut. Any help is appreciated,

Thanks and God bless,

Please contact Alexis Cole alexis293c@yahoo.com

Dallas: 2 Neglected Dogs Need Rescue Group or Permanent Home

Reposted from Jonnie England:

This is a personal appeal on behalf of my cousin, Scott Carpenter.  Scott owns a rental condo in NE Dallas. The tenant told Scott he was going out of town, and when Scott went to check on the unit, he found the tenant’s two dogs living in terrible, filthy conditions. Scott has been in touch with the tenant, who has agreed to surrender the dogs to avoid being reported for animal cruelty.  Scott has taken the dogs into his home, but has three large dogs of his own and cannot keep them.

Below is information about these sweet dogs.  If you can help or want more information, please contact Scott Carpenter –iamseeking_2000@yahoo.com – 972-342-6677.

Piper:
·         Black Lab mix
·         3 years old
·         Neutered
·         approx. 50 pounds
·         great with adults but due to his rambunctiousness, he's better with children 10 and up
·         House trained
·         best paired with another dog.

Macaroni):
·         (Black) Blue Healer/ Terrier mix
·         8 months to 1 year old
·         approx. 20 pounds
·         NOT neutered
·         great with adults and children of all ages
·         Partially house trained, will only go in the house if he has no way of getting outside
·         best paired with another dog.

These dogs do very well together, and would love to go to the same home, though they can manage without one another.

Both dogs are also trained to use doggy doors to go outside.

I appreciate any help you can give these sweeties.  They deserve good homes.  Please network and share with your contacts.

Foster dog, Sophie, needs home as only dog but loves kitties!

Hi! My name is SOPHIE and I am the sweetest girl ever (or so my foster mom tells me)! I am a 4 year old Lab mix and I am SOOOOO ready to find my forever home.  I need a home where I can be an only dog however I am a big fan of kitties and kids!

I was rescued from a local shelter where they just had an over abundance of big dogs so I am so lucky my foster mom picked me! I love to go for car rides and my favorite place to go is the place with the "golden arches" out front where I get my favorite treat! I know to potty outside and I know basic commands (I will do anything for a treat!) I am currently an indoor dog only because I am a couch potato but I am also really good at letting my foster mommy know if anyone comes into our yard!

I am spayed, micro-chipped,  current on Heartworm preventative and up to date on my shots  now all I need is a home where I can be a spoiled rotten only dog! Could that be with you?

If Sophie could be your “one and only” please e-mail Kelly at kelbond@sbcglobal.net to meet her!

Age: 4 years old
Weight: 88 lbs

Update: Medical Info - 6 Yr Old Yellow Lab Mix, owner passed and looking for new home

This is sweet Tammy. Sadly, her owner passed away in November and the owner's daughters have been caring for her but cannot keep her long term. They are hoping to find her a new home with a very loving family. Tammy is a very sweet dog, yellow lab mix, about 6 years old, spayed, and she has a soft and shiny coat.

Tammy's previous family members included a boxer mix and Chihuahua and she got along great with the. She has a very happy demeanor and is eager to please. Walks well on a leash and understands commands like sit and stay. Loves car rides and loves to lay on a lap!

Recent trip to the vet went well. She is spayed, no heartworms, current on shots, and got a clean bill of health! Vet records are available.

If you can give her a good home, or know someone who can, please contact Janet Kriger Moore at 210-325-2410.
