Bruno & Bailey, a Story About Second Chances

Bruno was found searching for adventure on the streets of Carrollton, TX when he was picked up by animal services. Like too many animals, Bruno was at the shelter for several weeks and had not been adopted. He was ultimately placed in line to be euthanized if not adopted. Fortunately for Bruno, a Paws in the City volunteer came to his rescue and he was moved from the shelter before his time was up. Bruno was placed in a foster home and patiently awaited the day he could find his forever home.

Lucky Bruno did not have to wait long! After he attended a few adoption events, a young lady named Bailey immediately fell in love with our Bruno. Deciding she was serious about adopting him, she brought her parents back to the adoption event to meet Bruno. Bailey eventually explained to us that she has cancer and her Make-A-Wish wish was to rescue a homeless dog. How amazing is it that someone who could have any wish come true simply wants to save an animal's life?

Bailey has been cancer free for 3 months now but is still undergoing pain management treatments. We will continue to pray for her full recovery and that she will live a long healthy life with her new best friend, Bruno!  This truly is special story about a dog and a person who get to share their second chance at life together!
