Odee Needs a New Family, FAST.

Odee was found by his rescuers running around their neighborhood in May of 2008. After weeks of looking for his owners, they gave up. Odee had several health issues and scars on his body, which led his rescuers to believe it was in Odee's best interest to not find the orignial owner. His kind foster family took care of his neuter and has kept him current on all vaccines.

Odee's foster family quickly noticed a problem between their original dog, Marley and Odee. Marley does not like Odee and large, male dogs in general, so fostering Odee has become difficult. He is currently living on the foster family's back porch with access to the yard to keep Odee away from Marley.

Odee has been adopted and returned to his foster family twice. The first adoption failed because of reasons related to the owner's job. The second adoption failed after about three hours because the new owners felt Odee had scared one of their cats. Odee's foster family has never seen Odee display aggressive behavior towards cats and even co-habitated with a feral cat in their backyard very peacefully.

Odee cut his paw earlier this week, so he has a bandage over his sutures that must stay clean until healed. He is also wearing an E-Collar to keep him from licking his wound and bandage. Whoever can foster or adopt Odee will need to be mindful of this and take him to the vet for follow up in a few weeks.

Odee is a boxer/mastiff mix, neutered, fully vetted and healthy. He is not dog aggressive and loves other dogs. He is also okay with cats and children.

Odee's current foster family needs your help finding a new foster. They can no longer care for him because of Marley's dislike for him and their financial situation. They have two very young children and keeping Odee and Marley separated has become tasking. This family does not want to take Odee to the shelter as they are aware of the short time animals have to get adopted before they are euthanized.

PLEASE help them find Odee's new foster home. You can contact Tina at 214.417.2314 or Rick at 214.893.7425.
