August 10, Arlington, TX: Train to volunteer at emergency animal shelters

Volunteer training coming to Arlington

Have you always wanted to deploy with the RedRover Responders to shelter and care for animals rescued from large cruelty situations or displaced by floods, fires and other natural disasters? Now's your chance.

Attend the RedRover Responders volunteer training workshop in Arlington, Texas on August 10. Your help is needed to spread the word about these training opportunities! Please forward this email to your animal-loving friends and animal rescue volunteers, and post our flier at dog parks, vet clinics and other places where people who care about animals gather.

In more than 25 years of existence, volunteers have provided temporary animal sheltering for more that 130 emergencies. Volunteers also participated in disaster preparedness education and community planning.

No previous experience is required and volunteers of all animal handling skills are welcome. The workshop registration fee of $50 includes a volunteer handbook, and the volunteer t-shirt, official photo ID badge and certificate of completion that are mailed upon completion of the volunteer training program.

In addition to attending one of the four-hour volunteer training workshops, potential volunteers must also complete self-paced online training before being added to our deployment roster.

To learn more about the RedRover Responders volunteer program and training, you can attend a free, online self-paced Volunteer Orientation at any time. Also, read our Emergency Response Journal to get a sense of what it's like at a deployment.

We hope you will help us grow our amazing RedRover Responders volunteer team!
